Split expenses with your friends by just talking to WhatsApp.
No app to install, no sign-up, no spreadsheets. Send a voice note or a text in Hinglish, the way your group actually talks — Bantlo does the math.
Scan with your phone
“Dinner ke 2400 maine diye, 4 log the, barabar baant do.”
Got it — ₹2400 split 4 ways → ₹600 each. You paid, so the other three owe you ₹600.
Confirm ✅Change groupSplitting money with friends is annoying.
App friction
Everyone has to download an app, make an account, and add each other before you can even start. Half the group never does.
Manual entry
Typing every expense into a form, picking people from lists, doing the "who owes what" math in your head.
It's not how you talk
Real groups say "Manoj ne 1200 diye coffee ke, Rahul ka 500, baaki barabar" — not "Amount: 1200, Category: Food, Split: Equal."
Bantlo meets people where they already are (WhatsApp) and lets them log an expense the way they'd actually say it — out loud, in Hinglish, in five seconds.
How it works
Message the bot
Send a WhatsApp voice note or text in plain Hinglish: “Dinner ke 2400 maine diye, 4 log the, barabar baant do.”
Check it, then confirm
Bantlo works out who paid and who owes what, down to the paisa, and shows you a summary. Nothing is saved until you tap Confirm— and if it guessed the wrong group, that's one tap to fix.
Settle up anytime
Ask “kaun kitna deta hai?”and you'll see who owes whom — across every group at once, not just one trip — with the fewest payments needed to square up.
Key magic:the friends you mention don't need to install or sign up for anything. You just name them, and their balances start working immediately. They can join later — whenever they want, or never — by tapping a link you forward them.
See it in action
Real Hinglish, real math — this is what talking to Bantlo actually looks like.
Simple split
“Coffee ke 600 maine diye, teen log the, barabar.”
Got it — ₹600 coffee, split 3 ways → ₹200 each. You paid, so Rahul and Priya owe you ₹200 each.
Confirm ✅Change groupSomeone else paid + uneven
Manoj ne 1200 diye lunch ke, Rahul ka 500, baaki barabar.
Manoj paid ₹1200. Rahul's share ₹500, the rest split equally. Here's the breakdown…
Confirm ✅Change groupItemized, in one breath
Dinner 3200 — usme 800 ka drinks sirf mera aur Rahul ka tha, baaki chaaron mein barabar.
₹3200 total. Drinks ₹800 → you and Rahul ₹400 each. The remaining ₹2400 → ₹600 each across all four.
Confirm ✅Change groupA refund
Security deposit ka 30000 wapas mila, teeno mein barabar.
₹30,000 received, split 3 ways → ₹10,000 each. It came to you, so you owe Rahul and Priya ₹10,000 each.
Confirm ✅Change groupSomeone paid someone else back
Priya ne Rahul ko 300 diye.
Noted — ₹300 from Priya to Rahul, applied against what Priya owed Rahul.
Mark settled ✅Settle up across every group
Rahul se hisaab clear karna hai.
Across all 3 groups you share, Rahul owes you ₹1,150. One payment clears everything.
Mark settled ✅Why it's different
Voice-first
Log an expense in about five seconds by speaking naturally. No forms, no dropdowns, no picking people off a list.
Speaks Hinglish
Talk the way your group actually talks. "Baaki barabar", "Rahul ka 500", "3:2 mein" — no translating your thoughts into app-speak.
No sign-up for the people you split with
Mention a friend and they're in the ledger immediately. They join on their own terms later — or never — and the math still works. Nobody gets spammed: a link is only created when you ask for one.
The AI never touches the numbers
The language model's only job is understanding what you said. Every rupee is then computed by plain, deterministic code, to the paisa, and checked to balance before anything is saved.
Nothing is saved until you say so
Every expense comes back as a summary you confirm. Wrong group? One tap. Changed your mind? Discard it. And if a name is ambiguous, Bantlo stops and asks rather than guessing.
One balance across every group
Your standing with a person rolls up across every group you share with them, so you settle with people, not with trips. Ask for a group and you'll get the fewest transfers that clear it.
And a dashboard, when chat isn't enough
Chat is great for logging and asking. For everything else — the full history, fixing a mistake, sorting out a duplicate — ask Bantlo for manage and it hands you a private link. No password, no account, no app.
Every balance, in one place. What you're owed overall, who owes whom, and a breakdown per group — each with the fewest payments that clear it.
Your full transaction history. Filter by group, open any entry, see exactly who paid what and who owed what.
Fix things safely. Relabel an entry, reverse one you logged, or flag one you disagree with. A reversal books a cancelling entry rather than deleting anything — the history stays honest.
Sort out people. Rename yourself, a group, or someone you added. If the same human ended up logged twice, merge them — with both entries shown side by side first, because it can't be undone.
The link is single-use and short-lived, and it's minted from your own chat. Nobody else can open your ledger.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to download an app?+
No. It's a WhatsApp chat with a business number. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Do my friends need to sign up?+
No. You mention them by name and their balances start working immediately. They can join later by tapping a link you forward them — or never, and the math still works.
Does it understand voice notes and Hinglish?+
Yes — that's the whole point. Send a voice note in Hinglish, Hindi, English, or the mix you actually speak. Text works exactly the same way.
How complicated a split can it handle?+
Equal splits, fixed shares, "baaki barabar", percentages, ratios, itemized bills where each item has different people on it, and cash that moves outside the split like kept change or a payback mid-meal. Usually in one sentence.
Is the math reliable?+
The AI only works out what you meant. All the arithmetic is done by ordinary deterministic code, to the paisa, and every expense is checked to balance before it's saved. And you confirm every entry before it goes on the books.
What if I make a mistake?+
You confirm every expense before it's saved, so most mistakes never happen. For the ones that do, ask for “manage” and you can relabel, reverse, or flag any entry from the web dashboard.
How do we settle up?+
Ask any time. You'll see who owes whom — across every group at once — and the fewest payments needed to clear it. When the money's actually moved, tell Bantlo and it records it.
Does Bantlo move the money?+
No. Bantlo keeps the score; you pay each other however you already do — UPI, cash, whatever. Tell it once the money's changed hands and it'll square the books.
Can I add Bantlo to my group chat?+
Not yet. You chat with Bantlo one-to-one, and it keeps everyone's balances in sync behind the scenes — including people who haven't joined. Everyone who joins sees the same ledger.
Do I have to create a group first?+
No. Just describe the expense and name the people. Bantlo keeps that set of people together on its own. Named groups exist if you want them, and every expense shows its group with one tap to change it.
What can't it do?+
It won't search your history by date or amount, make charts, export to CSV, or read a photo of a receipt. It handles rupees only, right now.
Is it free?+
Free while we're getting started.
